Parks & Recreation
Our name suggests that we are improving life for the residents of Chehalis. But we really aren’t just talking about the 8,000 people in our city today. You see, the parks and recreational projects we have undertaken are attracting visitors from all over Lewis County. Our contributions for public parks and recreational facilities are revitalizing Chehalis.
With the renovation of Lintott Alexander Park, the Shaw Aquatic Center, the Kiddie Spray Park, the three baseball fields and community tennis courts, and current renovations to Rec Park and Penny Playground, our funding, along with community support, is providing safe parks and recreational facilities for all in our community and beyond. And yes, there is more to be done in the future.
Several of our projects have been supported by the generous gift of $1.8 million dollars from the Ingwersen Trust to establish the Chehalis Foundation permanent endowment designated to renovating Chehalis ballparks.
