History:
Rod Rinta was a lifelong resident of Chehalis and graduated from W. F. West High School in 1985. He was deeply involved in athletics, competing in football, basketball, and baseball, and was also an accomplished drummer. Rod’s strong connection to his community and school was reflected in his love for life, sports, and people. He was known for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his ability to make friends easily. Tragically, at the age of 43, Rod lost his life in a plane crash, along with two co-workers.
Rod’s impact on those around him was lasting—he always made an effort to spread joy, whether through jokes or practical jokes with friends and co-workers. He was a true “Bearcat” and embodied the spirit of hard work and genuine kindness.
