Lintott Alexander Park Restoration

The restoration of Lintott Alexander Park brings new life to a historic community space, providing a safe, scenic, and welcoming environment for recreation, family gatherings, and community events. The Chehalis Foundation continues to support the park’s maintenance, ensuring its long-term preservation and enjoyment for future generations.

About the Project

Once a beloved community hub, Lintott Alexander Park was originally donated to the City of Chehalis by the Alexander family over 100 years ago. It served as a popular swimming and picnic destination until its closure in the 1980s due to budget constraints. The park sat abandoned for decades until the Chehalis Foundation partnered with the city to restore and revitalize this historic space.

Key restoration efforts included:

  • Clearing overgrown brush and weeds along the riverbanks
  • Constructing new picnic facilities and gathering areas
  • Installing a children’s play area for local families
  • Building a paved walking path around the six-acre perimeter

Thanks to community support and donations, Lintott Alexander Park has been transformed into a thriving outdoor retreat for residents and visitors alike.
