About the Project
In 2007, the Chet and Henrietta Rhodes Spray Park was established to provide a fun and safe outdoor water play area for young children in Chehalis. The project addressed issues with the previous wading pool, which required the closure and draining of the main pool whenever contamination occurred due to shared plumbing.
Project Benefits
The park provides a large, safe, and clean environment specifically designed for young children’s water play, reducing previous maintenance issues and ensuring continuous enjoyment for families.
Investment Amount
Fundraising efforts began in 2006, successfully raising $120,000 from private individuals, organizations, and businesses. The construction cost was $106,000, with the remaining funds allocated for future repairs and additions.

The project was fully funded and completed in 2007.
