Mobile Application Development

This course equips students with essential programming skills and introduces them to mobile app development, opening doors to STEM careers and further learning opportunities in software engineering.

About the Project

The Mobile Application Development course at W.F. West High School introduces students to the fundamentals of computer programming and mobile app development. Beginning with Python, students develop a solid foundation in coding concepts before advancing to Apple’s Xcode IDE and the Swift programming language. This progression allows students to design and develop their own mobile applications for real-world platforms.

By gaining hands-on experience in app development, students explore the growing field of software engineering, preparing them for future studies and careers in technology.
