History:

Laura McGee moved to Chehalis with her family in 1985 and quickly became a standout student at W. F. West High School. Known for her academic excellence, Laura earned some of the highest marks her calculus instructor had ever seen. She was a dedicated scholar, an avid reader, and a talented singer. Laura received multiple prestigious scholarships, including an Air Force ROTC scholarship to attend the University of Puget Sound, where she planned to study medicine and become a surgeon. Tragically, she passed away in April 1987.
