History:
Debra Sprague Frazier, a 1990 Adna High School and Centralia College graduate, was a dedicated paraprofessional at the Chehalis School District. She deeply loved working with students, often sharing heartfelt stories about them with her family. Her passion for education and her caring nature left a lasting impact on many young lives.
A devoted fastpitch fan, Debra could always be found cheering on her daughter and supporting the sport she loved. She was also a talented photographer, capturing special moments for countless families through her work at Sears Photography and as the owner of Picture This Photography.
Debra and her family were longtime members of the Centralia Community Church of God. Though she passed in December 2020, her legacy continues through this scholarship, ensuring that students who share her passions are supported in their educational journeys.
Scholarship Purpose:
To honor Debra’s love for fastpitch, community involvement, and education by supporting students who embody these values.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to W. F. West High School students
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Active participation in Bearcat athletics, with a preference for fastpitch players
- Involvement in community service and extracurricular activities
- Intention to pursue a career in education
Selection Considerations
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- A written essay about their love for fastpitch
- Their contributions to athletics, school activities, and community service
- Their dedication to pursuing a career in education
