History:
Dave Williams, a 1963 Everett Seagull graduate, had a passion for drama, music, and the Sea Scouts. He studied drafting in college and worked as a tool designer for Boeing before moving to Chehalis in 1969, where he served as a cartographer for Lewis County for over 40 years.
Dave became a proud Bearcat when he married W. F. West English teacher Janelle Aust in 1970. Together, they supported students in numerous school events, including forensics, Youth Fair, and Winter Ball, where Dave once built a 35-foot Eiffel Tower as a decoration. Students who got to know Dave found him quiet at first but soon realized his enthusiasm for music, guitar, golf, and history.
Dave and Janelle, having no children of their own, always planned to establish a scholarship to support hardworking students with financial need, continuing their family’s strong belief in education and the “Pay It Forward” philosophy.
