W.F. West High School Baseball Field Scoreboard
The installation of the new scoreboard ensures that Bearcat Baseball Stadium continues to host District, Regional, and State Tournaments for players aged 13-19, thereby supporting the development of young athletes in the region.
About the Project
The original scoreboard at W.F. West High School’s Bearcat Baseball Stadium, installed in 1994, had become outdated after 20 years of use. To maintain the stadium’s status as one of the premier high school baseball facilities in the Northwest, a new scoreboard was installed in time for the 2015 baseball season.
Project Benefits
The updated scoreboard enhances the game-day experience for players and spectators, maintains the stadium’s reputation for excellence, and supports the local community by hosting significant baseball events.
Investment Amount
The total cost for the new scoreboard was $12,441. The Bearcat Baseball Stadium Club and L&E Bottling Co. collectively raised half of this amount, and the Chehalis Foundation matched their contribution with funds from the Ingwerson Trust.
Fundraising Status
The necessary funds were successfully raised, and the project was completed in 2015.
The Chehalis Foundation matched the funds raised by the Bearcat Baseball Stadium Club and L&E Bottling Co., utilizing resources from the Ingwerson Trust.
