College Scholarships
Hundreds of students have been able to attend college or receive career training thanks to the scholarships provided by the Chehalis Foundation. Over 200 students are currently benefiting from these funds.
About the Project
The Chehalis Foundation began awarding college scholarships to W.F. West High School graduates in the class of 2013. In 2013, $20,000 was distributed across 15 graduates. By 2019, Chehalis Foundation Scholarships supported 38 students with a total of $76,900. The West/Coffman Scholarships and Leonard Scholarship Funds are now managed by the Foundation, and last year, an additional 42 students received scholarships totaling $44,600 for one year, renewable for up to 8 years, totaling $356,800. Over $1,000,000 in scholarships have been awarded to W.F. West graduates since 2013, and many alumni and donors continue to support the future of education and career training for graduating seniors.
