This renovation will extend the usability of the Bearcat Baseball Field from a few months a year to a full-year facility, benefiting local athletes and the greater Chehalis community.

About the Project

The Chehalis Foundation and Chehalis School District have partnered to renovate the WF West Bearcat Baseball Stadium, transforming it into a year-round facility for local players. This upgrade includes turf installation and expanded field usage, allowing players to train, compete, and host tournaments regardless of weather conditions.

Project chairs Tyler McCallum and Robert Pehl, JR—both respected business leaders with deep roots in Chehalis baseball—are spearheading the effort alongside a dedicated steering committee of local supporters. Their vision is to elevate Bearcat Baseball’s training and competition opportunities while also attracting regional and state tournaments. These enhancements will generate economic benefits for Chehalis by increasing tourism and local business revenue.

To support the project, sponsorship opportunities are available, including naming rights and a special Home Plate Sculpture for major donors. Community members can also contribute through scholarship donations and by pledging support via the official fundraising brochure.

Groundbreaking is set for late 2022, with active fundraising efforts to bring this vision to life.

  • Monster Wall Signs: Get an 8’x24′ sign for $6,000 (one-time, five-year commitment). Designed by W.F. West High School students, these signs promote your business while supporting local education.
  • Fence Signs: Get a 4’x16′ sign for $5,000 (one-time, five-year commitment). Created by W.F. West High School students, these signs offer great visibility and benefit local education.
