The Mike and Susan Austin Scholarship

Mike and Susan Austin

History:

Mike and Sue Austin were raised with a strong sense of duty to give back to their community. Both were actively involved in school, church, and community projects from a young age, with their parents setting the example of service. After attending Centralia College, Mike transferred to Washington State University (WSU), while Sue continued her education at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), where they both excelled academically.

Mike went on to become a successful real estate broker, while Sue dedicated her career to education, serving the Chehalis School District. Together, they spearheaded several community projects, such as the School Supplies for Students in Need initiative, and led the renovation of the Chet & Henrietta Rhodes Spray Park and Penny Playground. They both believe every child deserves a quality education and are passionate about creating opportunities for children to learn, grow, and succeed.
