T. Marion Barr Career and Technical Education Scholarship

T. Marion Barr

History:

For many years, Mr. Barr dreamed of giving back to students at W.F. West High School who were committed to pursuing a career or technical certificate/degree in the trades. Whether they aspired to become welders, machinists, linemen, or pursue other technical fields, Mr. Barr believed in the power of encouragement to help change lives. His kindness, dedication to his community, and belief in the potential of others led him to create the T. Marion Barr Scholarship Fund for Career and Technical Education.

Mr. Barr’s devotion to service extended beyond financial support. He spent countless hours volunteering to assist the less fortunate, always with a loving and giving heart. His philosophy is simple yet profound: a little encouragement can go a long way, and hearing someone say, “You can do it! I believe in you,” can have a life-changing impact.
