History:
Marjorie and Willard Scott moved to Chehalis in the summer of 1960 and established the Will Scott Insurance Agency, representing Mutual of Enumclaw. As newlyweds, they blended their families, raising eight children, four of whom graduated from W. F. West High School in the 1960s. Will passed away in 2003 after 42 years of marriage to Marge.
Marge grew up during the Great Depression on the Keeley family farm in Enumclaw as the second oldest of eight children. She developed a strong work ethic early on, whether helping with household chores or caring for the animals in the barn. She valued hard work, independence, and financial responsibility, qualities that defined her throughout her life. By the time she remarried in 1960 at the age of 38, she had achieved financial independence, owning her own home and car, with savings in the bank and no debt. Marjorie Scott passed away on February 4, 2018.
