Harry and Dorothy Gust Memorial Scholarship

Harry Gust and Dorothy Gust

History:

Harry Gust is best remembered for his outstanding contributions to the W.F. West wrestling program, where he played a pivotal role in its dominance over the years. He started the junior high school wrestling program and mentored several coaches, leaving behind a legacy of success that continues today. Harry’s dedication extended beyond coaching; he was an educator who inspired his students, helping them excel both on the mat and in the classroom.

In addition to his achievements, Harry was supported by his wife, Dorothy, who tirelessly helped with preparing lessons, typing tests, and maintaining the household for their large family.
