History:
Deb Schraeder, W.F. West Class of 1972, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by kindness, loyalty, and a deep love for people. Her greatest joy was her family—her husband Phil, with whom she shared more than 52 years of marriage, her son Chad, and her grandson Justin.
Deb’s passion from her earliest years was the beauty profession. From high school on, she knew she wanted to do hair, and she built a 37-year career as a dedicated and talented hair stylist. She served three generations of clients, many of whom became cherished friends. Deb had a gift for connection—she remembered every face, offered every kindness, and made every person feel valued. Her coworkers became family, and her clients became part of her life story. Whether volunteering during Chad’s school years, helping with fundraisers, or simply showing up for others, Deb gave generously of her time, energy, and heart.
