LCTA Tennis & Wrestling Facility

This facility will provide year-round training and competition space for local tennis players and middle school wrestlers, strengthening athletic opportunities for students and the community.

About the Project

Announced on October 26, 2021, this project is a collaborative effort between the Chehalis Foundation, Chehalis School District, Centralia Foundation, Lewis County Tennis Association, and Chehalis Activators. The goal is to construct a four-court indoor tennis and middle school wrestling facility near Chehalis Middle School on 20th Street.

This regional facility will provide a year-round training and competition space for both student-athletes and the broader community, regardless of weather conditions. It will allow Centralia and Chehalis high school tennis teams to train and host matches while also giving middle school wrestlers a dedicated practice area. The venue is expected to attract youth and adult tournaments, generating revenue for local businesses and adding to the area’s appeal as a sports destination.

With $800,000 pledged toward the estimated $3 million cost back in 2021, the project broke ground in 2022, with fundraising efforts continuing to bring this vision to life.

The official fundraising campaign kicked off in November 2021. With $800,000 already pledged at that time, efforts are ongoing to reach the $3 million goal.
