Team SWAG 4060 – W.F. West High School Robotics Team wins big in Auburn! Go Bearcats!

The accolades keep coming for a robotics competition team from W.F. West High School in Chehalis. Team SWAG 4060 — which stands for Students With A Goal and comprises 21 students — won FIRST Robotics Auburn District Event in late March at Auburn Mountainview High School. SWAG 4060 also took home the Engineering Inspiration award, a judges’ choice award that celebrates “outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school and community.”

In April, SWAG 4060 qualified to go to World Competition in St. Louis, Missouri. They did so by by winning the Regional Engineering Inspirational Award that they pre-qualified for by winning that same award at the Auburn PNW District event. The registration fee of $5,000 for the World Competition, to be held on April 22nd, will be paid for by NASA.
